Orion SpaceProbe II 76mm Equatorial Reflector Telescope Kit for Astronomy Beginners
The Orion reflector telescope is a 3" aperture, 700mm focal length instrument that delivers detailed views of the Moon, planets, brighter nebulas, and star clusters. An included EQ-1B equatorial mount makes it easy to track objects as they move across the night sky. The package comes with a Shorty 2x Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of the two included Kellner eyepieces, providing 70x and 28x respectively. Resolving power is 1.52 arc seconds, with a lowest useful magnification of 11x and a highest useful magnification of 152x.
The optical design is a reflector, with a 76mm diameter objective and a focal ratio of f/9.2. The 26.2-inch optical tube is mounted on an aluminum tripod, with the entire assembled telescope weighing 13.0 lbs. A dovetail bar system is included for easy attachment to the equatorial mount.
To aid in planning observing sessions, the telescope package includes a Star Target Planisphere and a MoonMap 260. Additionally, the Orion Telescope Observer's Guide book will guide beginning amateur astronomers through the exploration of over sixty interesting celestial objects.
